Author Confessions Round 21

I never originally intended to publish any of my work. I simply wrote for myself as a way to express my thoughts and unwind. It took a lot of encouragement from a dear friend and several family members to finally get me to bite the bullet and publish. The only thing I hope to accomplish through this is to let my characters be heard. If I can touch a few readers along the way, that would be icing on the cake.

  1. OMG, I can so relate! I wrote for myself for over thirty years with no thoughts to publish. In 2014 a friend talked me into doing NaNoWriMo with her…and here I am! LOL!

Connecting with readers is the best reward. When I get a post, comment, or review where readers explain what my book meant to them, I get delirious and dance around the house! LOL! 😄

    1. I know what you mean. It’s a great feeling to have someone appreciate your work. If I can stir emotions and touch the reader somehow, then I’ve done my job as a writer.

I’ve never done NaNoWriMo. Can’t commit to doing that with my job. Maybe someday I’ll bite that bullet.
