This week has been a fairly good writing week, and I’m feeling very positive about it! There’s no doubt at all that one of the reasons I’ve done so well is because I’ve read some brilliant books recently, and it’s made me want to get on and write mine.

I have a slightly different standpoint to this. I find that the less I read/pay attention to other writers, the less influenced I am by them.
It’s one of those things which ends up meaning my plots stay different and at times difficult to predict.
At least that’s how I see it.

Think I’m the same way. I read, but not because I’m trying to emulate any author. I read because I enjoy a good book.
